Kamat, who has always been supporting, motivating and encouraging in performing our endeavors,. Education for changing the mindset of students for more productivity and creativity, education for changing the total personality of students into fully functioning, contented, and altruistic individuals should be our goals. We can understand the role of quality education as a medium of transformation of the individual and the world in the words of Lord Bertrand Russell who wrote: “The world could be transformed if the basis of education is knowledge wielded by love and values for sustainable development. Through education, we need to pass on the message to the society that to maintain the quality it requires commitment, acceptance, reverence, and eloquence. It is not the quantity of education but the quality that is important. To maintain the quality it requires constant effort, courage, conviction, and commitment.” We, at Divekar College of Commerce, have been striving to realize the transformational goal for making students better, productive, creative, and happy human beings and thereby make our nation and the world a better place to live in. The realization of such an ideal calls for the collective endeavor of teachers, administrators, students, parents, and all those directly or indirectly involved in the process of education. Let us try to reach such a high ideal. The institution prepares a calendar of co-curricular, extracurricular, sports, community service, and other activities before the beginning of every academic year. Apart from routine activities with the main stress on teaching-learning, there are various navel programs conducted every year in the institution.
