Swami Vivekananda says “My Countrymen should have nerves of Steel, Muscles of Iron and Minds like Thunderbolt”.
The college playground was initiated in the year 1972. The college has an excellent record of sports at Karnataka University Dharwad. The first Principal of the college Shri G.V. Bhat stressed in the field of sports.
In the year 1974, 200 meters standard track was set up and from then on there was no stop. Numerous students participated in track and field events and represented the college in District, State, University, Inter-University, and National Level. The college conducts Athletics meet, Coaching Camp, and Training.

Games conducted periodically:
- Volleyball: Played by men and women. Every year the college organizes Coaching Camp and Tournaments.
- Football: Played by men. Every year college organizes Coaching Camp and many students participate in District, State and University Level.
- Basketball: For the first time in Karwar, Basketball Court was constructed under University Grants Commission Xll Plan in the year 2013-14. In 2014-15 the college organized Karnataka Unversity Dharwad Single Zonal Men Basketball Tournament cum selection trial was conducted and selected students participated in Inter-University Level. The college conducts basketball training and coaching camp regularly.
- Handball: Handball court was established in 2015-16. Karnataka Unversity Dharwad Single Zonal Men Tournament was organized for Inter-Collegiate Level.
- Tennis: Tennis court was established in 2017. It is the first court in Uttar Kannada district. Karnataka Unversity Dharwad Single Zonal Men Tournament cum Selection Trial was organized in 2019. Tennis training and coaching camp is been conducted regularly.
